Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah is an Indian actress, playback singer as well as a musician. She works mostly in Tamil and Malayalam film languages. Her debut as an actress was the Tamil film Pachaikili Muthucharam, and her Malayalam debut with Annayum is in the film. Andrea Jeremiah was raised in the Tamil Nadu region in an Anglo-Indian family. Her father is an Madras High Court lawyer. She has an older sister currently working and living in Leuven Belgium working as a Research Assistant. Jeremiah, who was born in Chennai went to National Public School. He completed his studies at Women's Christian College. Andrea learned to play classical piano in her eighth year. At age 10 she was an active member of the group of the Jackson Five called Young Stars which formed the base of her early singing and music composing career. At her university she also was a theater artist and performed in stage plays produced by The Madras Players. The president was of the the Women's Christian College's Student Senate. Andrea began her theatre career by appearing in Girish Karnad's Nagamandala. The year 2006 saw her was a part-time actress in a leo commercial with actor Shiva. She also acted as a character in Podhigai's serial. She has appeared in all parts of India. She played a brief role in Kanda Mudhal, the 2005 final episode. Gautham Vaisudev Menon performed in Vettaiyaadu's Vilaiyaadu. She was asked to have her play the female character for Pachaikili Muthucharam. This film was a film adaptation of the novel by James Siegel Derailed. It featured Andrea portraying Kalyani who is a housewife her husband who is caught in an affair and is blackmailed.
